Lash Preparation & Aftercare
Before
Thank you for choosing Spark & Flutter for your Lash Extensions.
We require a patch test for lash adhesive at least 48 hours before your appointment. You can pop in at any time to have this done as it only takes a minute (have a look at our opening hours on the contact page!) A £10 cash deposit is required on the day you come for your patch test to secure the appointment.
On the day of your appointment we ask, if possible, that you don't wear eye make up. If you have to then as little is possible! We ask this as it helps keep the lashes from holding any residue and therefore a better, longer lasting lash application.

After
We hope that you love your new lash extensions! Now its your job to keep them looking beautiful and last well.
Depending on what lash extensions you had, you would've either been handed a lash brush or sold a lash glaze. Please only use your lash brush as and when needed, to position the lashes back into their rightful place. Brush lightly and slowly to ensure you do not pull on the lash extensions.
Glaze should be applied every other day or every other 2 days, use sparingly! The glaze helps strengthen the adhesive bonds and keeps your lashes looking lushious!
Remember, for the first 24 hours do not get your lashes wet! No steam or sauna for the first 48 hours either!
If and when your lashes do get wet, pat them dry, do not rub as this pulls at the adhesive bonds and your lashes won't last as long.
When wearing eye make up, it must be oil free. Your remover for eye make up must be oil free too, we recommend you purchase a Cleansing Lash Foam that we retail. Oily products will break down the adhesive and your lashes will fall out!!
I would have recommended your maintenance appointments at your initial set, the usual recommendation is an appointment every 2-3 weeks.
If you wearing them as a 1 off or just for a special occasion then please come back for a lash removal appointment rather than attempting to do it yourself. This makes sure that you don't lose your patience and pull them out along with your natural lashes!!

Lash Lift Aftercare
A lash lift is a great way to have beautiful looking lashes with low maintenance. However there’s just a couple of easy steps you need to follow.
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after your appointment and steam and saunas for 48 hours. The lift is still setting during this stage so getting them wet will make that curl drop.
Avoid mascara or any products of kind on the lashes as the lift is still setting.
There is no need for the use of eyelash curlers, manual or heated. Using them on an already curled lash can damage your lashes and even cause them to break or snap.
Other than that, you can continue life as normal. You can have another lash lift done 6 weeks later but not before. You might wish to have the tint redone as the colour can fade, this can be done after 3 weeks.
